African wild dog

After many, many hours of sewing and airbrushing I'm proud to introduce you all to Lyca the African wild dog, otherwise known as the painted dog or Cape hunting dog.  These beautiful canines are native to sub-Saharan Africa and are sadly endangered due to habitat loss and disease.  He is quite a large doggie, measuring 19" long from nose to the base of his tail and is created out of all white Schulte synthetic fabrics with extensive airbrushed detailing.

I can't tell you how long I've wanted to try and recreate one of these fabulous looking canines with their unique coat patterns (no individual is the same).  He was quite a challenge and a lot of work, I do hope you like him.
